Former Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Gary "Big" Brown was in Knoxville recently. He participated in the wing-eating contest at the 2nd Annual Big Kahuna Wing Festival at World’s Fair Park in Downtown Knoxville.
Brown, sporting his massive Super Bowl ring, stopped by the News Sentinel Sports Page’s broadcast location at World’s Fair Park to talk NFL and college football with Vince Ferrara and Evan Woodbery on The Sports Animal.
He shared his unique perspective on the safety of the game, the culture of football players facing injuries, what the league has done to improve that, what they should do for former players, what it was like to play for George O’Leary at Georgia Tech, why Auburn’s offense last season was so difficult to defend, an interesting comment on Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, his experience in the wing-eating contest last year, his foundation and much more.
You can listen to that entire conversation with Gary Brown HERE.
Listen to the News Sentinel Sports Page with Vince Ferrara and sports writers from the Knoxville News Sentinel, weekdays 10am to 12pm ET on The Sports Animal!
