KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Senior Aubrey Leach has been tabbed as a First Team All-American selection by Softball America as a part of its inaugural All-American teams, the outlet announced.
The Tennessee infielder is joined by five other SEC members on the first team with the SEC and PAC-12 leading all conferences with 17 selections through the three teams.
During Leach’s senior season on Rocky Top, she batted .411 with 72 hits, 23 RBI and scored 65 runs. She earned NFCA Third Team All-America honors on Wednesday, the second time she was recognized by the coaches’ association in her career.
The Woodlands, Texas native led the Lady Vols in batting average (.411), runs scored (65), hits (72), walks (44) and stolen bases (20). She was the only player to start all 60 games this season. Leach ends her career as Tennessee’s all-time leader in runs scored (255) and walks (164).
She earned Second Team All-America accolades from the Senior CLASS Award on Wednesday as well, which recognizes achievements both on and off the field.
In total, Tennessee has 37 All-America nods in program history, 36 from the NFCA and one from the inaugural Softball America release.
