KPD: Suspect Stole Victim’s Car in Armed Robbery in Knoxville

The suspect is in custody after an armed robbery at Family Dollar this weekend. Officers were called to the Family Dollar on Heiskell Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

The suspect pulled a gun and demanded money. However, the clerk couldn’t get the register open so the suspect demanded their car keys.

The man took off in the victim’s maroon Ford Taurus. Deputies later found the vehicle on Beaver Creek Drive.

31-year-old Desteryn Arnold was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery and Evading Arrest.
