Each week, I share my predictions and info on SEC football games.

Below is broadcast info and analysis for Week 8 in the SEC.

These are straight-up winners only. The point spread is just as a barometer for how big of a favorite or underdog each team is.

2020 SEC Week 7 Game Prediction Record: 4-0 (100%)
2020 SEC Season Prediction Record: 31-9 (78%)
2019 SEC Game Prediction Record: 103-20 (84%)

SATURDAY, November 14

Vanderbilt (0-5, 0-5 SEC) at Kentucky (2-4, 2-4 SEC)
Lexington, Ky. • Kroger Field (61,000)
Noon ET • SEC Network
Series: UK leads, 46-42-4
Last: UK, 38-14 (2019 in Nashville)
Sirius: 137 • XM: 386/190
Point Spread: Kentucky -17
Vince’s View: Gee whiz this is an ugly “offensive” match-up. Vandy is worse in many categories, but UK is bad in many areas except for rushing offense and turnovers forced. Vandy has one INT on defense this season. This SEC slate was obviously shattered with all the covid-related cancellations, but it’s rough that this one stands alone for the SEC under the two evening games. It will be far from a masterpiece.
Score Prediction: Kentucky 24 Vanderbilt 6

Arkansas (3-3, 3-3 SEC) at Florida (4-1, 4-1 SEC)
Gainesville, Fla. • Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at Steve Spurrier-Florida Field (88,548)
7 p.m. ET • ESPN
Series: UF leads, 9-2
Last: ARK, 31-10 (2016 in Fayetteville)
Sirius: 81 • XM: 386/81
Point Spread: Florida -17
Vince’s View: Feleipe Franks returns to his former team’s home field, The Swamp. I wonder how Franks handles that and if he puts too much pressure on himself. UF’s defense has been playing better as of late. Arkansas leads the nations in interceptions with 12. Even though Kyle Trask really distributed the ball well to many guys last week vs. Georgia, if the Gators don’t have TE Kyle Pitts available, that offense doesn’t look the same. That could close the gap some, but even with a possible let down looming, Florida will pull away late and win.
Score Prediction: Florida 34 Arkansas 21

South Carolina (2-4, 2-4 SEC) at Ole Miss (2-4, 2-4 SEC)
Oxford, Miss. • Vaught-Hemingway Stadium (64,038)
7:30 p.m. ET • SEC Network
Series: Tied, 8-8
Last: SC, 48-44 (2018 in Oxford)
Sirius: 137 • XM: 380/190
Point Spread: Ole Miss -13
Vince’s View: This is a sneaky important game for Will Muschamp. The fans are getting restless and losing to another non-elite team in the league will add to that. SC really doesn’t do anything very well. Ole Miss has the 5th ranked offense in the nation and one of the worst defenses in the country in almost every category. Bottom line is, I don’t think the Gamecocks can keep-up with the Rebels. SC just doesn’t have the skill players to take advantage of Ole Miss’ issues on D.
Score Prediction: Ole Miss 42 South Carolina 20

Open: Auburn (4-2, 4-2 SEC); Mississippi State (2-4, 2-4 SEC), Alabama (6-0, 6-0 SEC), LSU (2-3, 2-3 SEC), Texas A&M (5-1, 5-1 SEC), Tennessee (2-4, 2-4 SEC), Georgia (4-2, 4-2 SEC), Missouri (2-3, 2-3 SEC)
