Why not give Nico a chance?
That’s a common question from the Tennessee fanbase.
The talk started early in the season. And it’s picked up in recent weeks, especially after starting quarterback Joe Milton III threw for only 100 yards against Texas A&M last week.
So why not give Nico Iamaleava, the Vols’ highly-touted freshman, a chance to start at quarterback?
We asked Austin Price of Volquest on Josh and Swain on Wednesday.
“The chemistry is so important,” Price explained. “And if Joe has the backing of the guys that are playing, that’s hard to kind of flip and just go to somebody else when you’re 5-1.
