KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee baseball released its full 2026 schedule on Thursday as the Volunteers prepare for their first season under the direction of head coach Josh Elander.
The 2026 regular-season slate consists of 38 home games, 15 road contests and three neutral site games.
Tennessee opens its 2026 campaign with eight straight at home, starting with a series against Nicholls from Feb. 13-15 at the newly renovated Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Following their eight-game homestand, which also includes a weekend series against Kent State (Feb. 20-22), the Vols will travel to Arlington, Texas for the 2026 Amergy Bank College Baseball Series, which will be played at Globe Life Field from Feb. 27 through March 1.
UT will open the tournament in Arlington with a marquee matchup against 2025 Men’s College World Series participant and reigning Big 10 regular-season champion UCLA. The Vols will take on NCAA regional qualifier Arizona State in their second game of the tournament before concluding their stay in the Lone Star State against Virginia Tech.
Tennessee hosts perennial mid-major power Wright State (March 6-8) in its final non-conference weekend series before kicking off SEC play on the road at Georgia (March 13-15).
After their trip to Athens, the Big Orange welcome Missouri to Knoxville for their first SEC home series (March 20-22) before going back on the road to take on in-state rival Vanderbilt (March 27-29) in Nashville.
As the calendar turns to April, the Vols host LSU (April 3-5) for a highly-anticipated showdown between two programs that have combined to win the last three national championships.
Back-to-back series against the Mississippi schools follow UT’s meeting with the Tigers as the Vols travel to Starkville to take on Mississippi State (April 10-12) before returning to Knoxville to play Ole Miss (April 17-19).
Tennessee remains at home for a Thursday-Saturday series against Alabama (April 23-25) before hitting the road for two of its final three regular-season series, starting with a short drive north to the Bluegrass State to square off against border rival Kentucky (May 1-3).
The Vols close out the home slate with their first-ever regular-season series against Texas (May 8-10) before hosting Belmont on Senior Night (May 12). UT wraps up the regular season with a trip to Oklahoma (May 14-16). The series against the Sooners will be played at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
UT will also play 14 midweek contests throughout the year, all of which are scheduled to be played in Knoxville at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The 2026 SEC Tournament will once again be held in Hoover, Alabama, at the Hoover Met from May 19-24.
In all, the Vols are slated to play 34 games against teams that reached the NCAA tournament last season (14 different opponents), including four games against opponents that advanced to Omaha in 2025 (UCLA and LSU).
