KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee redshirt junior wide receiver Chris Brazzell II was recognized as a member of the 2025 AP All-America Third Team, the organization announced Monday afternoon.
The Midland, Texas, native was the only receiver from the Southeastern Conference selected to one of the three 2025 AP All-America Teams. He becomes the second Vol receiver in four years to garner AP All-America recognition, joining Biletnikoff Award winner Jalin Hyatt who was a First Team selection in 2022.
Brazzell emerged as one of the nation’s top receivers in 2025 and led the SEC with 1,017 receiving yards during the regular season, which ranks ninth in Tennessee single-season history. He also paced the league with nine touchdown catches this year, which is tied for 10th in program annals. Brazzell’s breakout campaign featured four 100-yard receiving games, including a career-best 177-yard, three-touchdown outing in Week 3 against Georgia.
Tennessee has totaled five AP All-America honors in five seasons under head coach Josh Heupel. Brazzell joins Hyatt (First Team in 2022), Hendon Hooker (Third Team in 2022), Jermod McCoy (Second Team in 2024) and Dylan Sampson (Third Team in 2024) on that list.
