BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tennessee redshirt freshman offensive lineman Jesse Perry and redshirt junior punter Jackson Ross have been named SEC Co-Offensive Lineman and Co-Punter of the Week following the No. 18/18 Vols’ 31-11 victory at Florida, the program’s first win in The Swamp since 2003.
The win also tied for the largest margin of victory over Florida in Gainesville in series history.
Perry earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week after delivering a dominant performance in his first trip to Gainesville. The right guard played all 73 offensive snaps without allowing a sack, quarterback hit or committing a penalty. He posted Tennessee’s highest offensive line grade as the Vols amassed 452 yards of total offense, including 323 in the first half. Perry also helped pave the way for a ground game that produced 248 rushing yards – UT’s most against the Gators since 1992.
Ross collected SEC Punter of the Week honors after flipping field position throughout the night. The Ray Guy Award semifinalist averaged 45.0 yards on two punts, with both downed inside the 6-yard line, including one at the 1. His long traveled 49 yards. Ross continues to lead the nation in percentage of punts downed inside the 20-yard line, with 19 of his 33 attempts (57.6 percent) pinned deep this season.
Tennessee has earned 51 weekly honors from the SEC under Heupel since 2021, including 10 so far this season.
