Labanc made up for his overturned goal at 14:36, wiring a one-timer off a feed from Erik Karlsson to make it 2-1 San Jose. It was Karlsson’s first point against his former club in three games against them.

Senators forward Shane Pinto left the game early in the first period after a hit in the corner from Sharks defenseman Mario Ferraro. He returned for one shift early in the second period but left again with an upper-body injury.
