Titans sign DL Denico Autry, four others

Free agent defensive lineman Denico Autry officially agreed to terms on a multi-year contract with the Tennessee Titans on Thursday.

The Titans also announced they signed free agent offensive lineman Kendall Lamm and long snapper Morgan Cox, and they re-signed free agent tight ends Anthony Firkser and Geoff Swaim.

Autry, 30, had 30 1/2 sacks in 96 games (56 starts) over seven seasons with the Oakland Raiders (2014-17) and Indianapolis Colts (2018-2020). While lining up mostly at defensive end in 14 games in 2020, he recorded 7 1/2 sacks, 12 quarterback hurries and 10 quarterback hits for the Colts.

Cox, 34, signed a one-year deal. A native of Collierville, Tenn., and a three-year starter at long snapper for the University of Tennessee (2007-2009), Cox spent 11 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, who released him this offseason. During his 165-game NFL career, Cox has made the Pro Bowl four times. Last season he was the first All-Pro long snapper, the first time the position was on the All-Pro ballot.

Firkser and Swaim each re-signed for one year.

Firkser, 26, has played in 43 games (two starts) for the Titans the past three seasons. In 2020, he set career highs with 39 catches and 387 receiving yards. He also caught one touchdown pass.

Swaim, 27, had nine catches for 83 yards and one touchdown in 10 games (eight starts) in his first season with the Titans last season. Over his six NFL seasons, he has played 53 games (28 starts) for the Dallas Cowboys (2015-18), Jacksonville Jaguars (2019) and Titans.
