The Knox County Sheriff’s office is investigating after one of their officer’s is shot in leg while responding to a call.

It happened last (Tuesday) night on Brickyard Road in Powell.

The Officer was then taken to UT Medical Center for surgery. A spokesperson for the department says Sheriff Spangler has seen the officer and says the he is in good spirits. No other injuries were reported.
