An investigation is underway to determine the cause of a North Knox County house fire that injures a Rural Metro firefighter.

It happened yesterday morning in the 9200 block of Old Maynardville Pike, Crews made an aggressive attack to stop the spread but the fire had already reached the attic and was spreading rapidly throughout the home.

One firefighter sustained a minor injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The family made it out of the home safe.
