Rural Metro is investigating a house fire in East Knox County.

It happened last night (Tuesday) in the 8100 block of Clay’s Corner. Crews found flames coming from the front of the home which suffered smoke and water damage.

The resident made it out and several kittens and cats were rescued from the home.

The Red Cross is assisting the resident.
