Knoxville, TN (WOKI) Over 30 kids will be able to attend camp this summer thanks to a generous donation from the Morgan Wallen Foundation.
Thirty-five kids will attend the Knoxville Salvation Army’s Camp Paradise Valley, a camp focusing on instruction in the arts and music. Representatives with the Salvation Army say the $15,000 donation from the country superstar’s foundation will cover the full cost of attending, including transportation, meals, lodging, recreational activities and all instructional materials.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Morgan Wallen Foundation for investing in the lives of young people in our region,” said Major Cameron Henderson, Area Commander of The Salvation Army Knoxville Area Command. “For many of these children, this will be their first time attending camp and exploring music and the arts in such a hands-on way. It’s more than a week away—it’s a chance to discover their talents, build confidence, and just be kids.”
The camp runs from July 7 to July 11 and July 14 to July 18.
