Knox County, TN (WOKI) – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that occurred Monday afternoon in the Halls community.
At approximately 12:15 p.m. on February 16, 2026, deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at the Rural King located in Halls. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult victim suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Preliminary investigation indicates the incident involved two individuals who were known to one another and that the altercation stemmed from a dispute between the parties. This is an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the general public.
The suspect is in custody, and the victim is being treated for what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation, which remains active and ongoing. No additional details are being released at this time.
