KINGSTON, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – A Roane County man has been charged after he allegedly tried to solicit pictures from “several” children on a social media app.
According to court documents obtained by WVLT News, authorities received a referral from the FBI in Oxford, Mississippi about a 14-year-old girl being solicited for pictures by 18-year-old Conner Nelson, of Kingston, in August 2025.
Law enforcement in Mississippi searched Nelson’s Snapchat account and found messages with “several other children,” including a 14-year-old girl in Oklahoma and an eight-year-old girl in Washington, court documents said.
Nelson was charged with especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and appeared in court Tuesday morning.
