Knoxville, TN (WOKI) -Isaiah Hill, 27 of Alcoa, has been taken into custody following an early-morning shooting in the Five Points community.
At just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to the 400 block of Taylor Homes Road to investigate a reported shooting. Officers arrived on scene and found a 30-year-old Knoxville man outside of an apartment who been shot at least one time in the lower body. The victim was transported to the UT Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Responding officers developed Hill as a suspect. A short time after the shooting occurred, officers spotted Hill’s car traveling on I-40 East and he was stopped by Sevier Police Department and Sevier County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Hill was then transported to the Public Safety Complex, where he was questioned by KPD Homicide Unit detectives.
Charges are pending as the investigation progresses.
