KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) — A Knoxville teenager is facing serious charges after a woman told police she had been held against her will for weeks.
According to court records, 19-year-old Cameron Watson has been charged with domestic assault and false imprisonment. Investigators say the case came to light on Saturday when the victim reported Watson had been holding her against her will for approximately two weeks.
The woman told officers she was assaulted multiple times during that period. Police were contacted after someone called for help on her behalf.
Authorities say Watson fled the home before officers arrived. He was later located near West Emory Road and taken into custody. According to reports, Watson denied the allegations and could not provide a clear explanation for why he was running from police.
He remains facing charges as the investigation continues.
