Short-term rental platforms like Airbnb are seeing listings surge into the thousands of dollars for a two-night stay as fans flood East Tennessee for one of the most anticipated college football games of the year.
According to Airbnb officials, searches for Knoxville-area rentals are up 45% compared to a typical fall weekend, with roughly half of those searches coming directly from Texas.
