KNOXVILLE, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – The Knoxville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the next of kin of a Knoxville man who was recently found dead from natural causes.
According to KPD, 76-year-old Bernard Addison was found deceased at his apartment on Whittle Springs Road on Nov. 2. Investigators said his death was determined to be from natural causes.
Despite what the department described as exhaustive efforts, detectives have been unable to locate any family members or next of kin to notify them of Addison’s passing.
Authorities said Addison was originally from Memphis before moving to Knoxville to attend college and eventually settling in the area.
Detectives are now asking anyone who may know Addison’s relatives or have information that could help identify and contact his next of kin to come forward.
