KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee baseball head coach Josh Elander announced on Friday that the Volunteers will play four exhibition games this fall at various minor league ballparks throughout the state.
UT will open its fall exhibition slate on Sunday, Oct. 11 versus 2026 Men’s College World Series participant Troy at First Horizon Park in Nashville, home of the Milwaukee Brewers’ Triple-A affiliate the Nashville Sounds.
Five days later, the Big Orange will welcome Lipscomb to Knoxville for an in-state battle on Friday, Oct. 16 at the home of the Knoxville Smokies, Covenant Health Park.
Tennessee will conclude its fall exhibition slate with consecutive November contests at the newly constructed Erlanger Park in Chattanooga, home of the Cincinnati Reds’ Double-A affiliate the Chattanooga Lookouts.
The Vols will play Kennesaw State on Sunday, Nov. 1 before wrapping up their fall exhibition schedule against Georgia Tech on Sunday, Nov. 8.
The program is coming off its seventh straight NCAA tournament appearance and enters Year 2 of the Elander era. The Vols return 13 players from last season’s regional squad and a group of 24 newcomers, which consists of the nation’s top ranked transfer portal class according to Baseball America and the No. 3 ranked high school signing class by Baseball America and Perfect Game.
