KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee baseball released its full 2027 schedule on Wednesday, which is chock-full of marquee matchups.
The Volunteers are slated to play 33 games against teams that reached the NCAA Tournament last season (13 different opponents), including 12 games against programs that advanced to the Men’s College World Series in 2026 (Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia, Alabama).
The 56-game regular season slate consists of 38 home games at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, 15 road contests and three neutral site games.
Fresh off its seventh consecutive NCAA regional appearance, UT opens its 2027 campaign at home with a weekend series against Northern Illinois from Feb. 19-21 before hosting High Point its first midweek game on Feb. 23.
Following their four-game homestand to open the year, the Vols will travel to Jacksonville, Florida for the 2027 Live Like Lou Jax College Baseball Classic, which will be played at VyStar Ballpark from Feb. 26-28.
Tennessee will face a pair of 2026 regional teams while in Jacksonville, bookending its tournament slate with matchups against Cincinnati (Feb. 26) and Georgia Tech (Feb. 28). The Big Orange will square off against Illinois in the middle game of the tournament on Feb. 27.
Following its trip down south, the Vols will return to Knoxville for their next 14 games, starting with a midweek showdown against in-state foe ETSU on Tuesday, March 2. That weekend, UT is set to host perennial mid-major power and a regular NCAA regional participant in Missouri State (March 5-7).
Tennessee’s final non-conference weekend series will feature a rematch of the 2024 NCAA Knoxville Super Regional when Evansville returns to Rocky Top for a three-game set from March 12-14.
The following weekend, the Vols will open conference play at home against the defending National Champion Oklahoma Sooners (March 19-21). UT’s other SEC home series include blockbuster matchups against Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.
Tennessee’s five road series in league play feature trips to Texas A&M, Texas, Auburn, Florida and Alabama, all of which are coming off postseason appearances in 2026.
The Big Orange will also play 14 midweek contests throughout the year, including four in-state battles against the likes of ETSU, Tennessee Tech, Lipscomb and Belmont. All midweek games are scheduled to be played in Knoxville at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The 2027 SEC Tournament will once again be held in Hoover, Alabama, at the Hoover Met from May 20-25.
