Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – The Knoxville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Knoxville woman who may be at risk due to a medical condition.
According to KPD, officers are searching for Shelia Standridge, 70, who was last seen after leaving Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
Investigators said Standridge was later seen boarding a Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) bus and was last known to be in the area of KARM on North Broadway.
Police said Standridge has a medical condition that could impair her ability to safely return home on her own, increasing concern for her well-being.
At the time she was last seen, Standridge was wearing the clothing shown in a photo released by law enforcement.
Officers are actively attempting to locate her and are urging residents to be on the lookout.
Anyone who sees Standridge or has information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
The investigation remains ongoing.
