KNOXVILLE, TN – A man has been charged following a Knoxville Police Department investigation into a drug-related death.
A 23-year-old Madisonville woman died in February 2025 in the Tru Hotel on Lovell Road. She died from cocaine toxicity.
32-year-old Allen Roach Jr. has been charged with her murder.
The Drug Related Task Force searched Roach’s house in April of 2025 and found cocaine, mushrooms, a handgun, and scales, KPD said. He was arrested the same day.
After a continued investigation, a grand jury indicted Roach. He was booked into the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on Sept. 21, on second-degree murder and sale and delivery of cocaine charges.
He has since been released on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court next on Dec. 4.
