KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee softball is proud to host a League of Angels game on Wednesday, October 14, at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. The game is scheduled to run from 6-8 p.m. ET.
Founded by Tanner Kim and based in Knoxville, League of Angels provides an opportunity for individuals with special needs to share in the joy of baseball.
“It is going to be an awesome night,” head coach Karen Weekly said. “We have done things like this before and to just watch the joy on their faces. I want us to pack this place. I think it’s so cool for the young men and women who are going to be on our field that night to feel the crowd. To hear the cheers and just feel the energy.”
The event is free and open to the public, with gates opening at 5 p.m. ET. Restrooms will be open, but concessions will not be available. Fans are welcome to bring their own drinks and snacks.
