Investigation Underway Following Fatal Early-Morning Wreck
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early Saturday morning near Farragut Primary School.
Authorities said deputies and emergency personnel responded to the scene after receiving reports of a crash outside the school.
Investigators determined that only one person was inside the vehicle at the time of the wreck.
According to the sheriff’s office, the occupant suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no additional injuries were reported.
Officials have not released the identity of the victim, citing the need to notify next of kin before that information becomes public.
