Update: BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – The Blount County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim and suspect of a shooting that happened Sunday.
According to the sheriff’s office, 66-year-old Douglas Morgan Van Gorder shot 63-year-old Perry Miceli. Miceli is recovering at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, according to BCSO, and is expected to survive.
Van Gorder was charged with aggravated assault and is being held at the Blount County Correctional Facility on a $75,000 bond, a BCSO spokesperson said.
The shooting happened at a home on Tomotley Road shortly before 2 p.m..
Blount County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – A suspect is in custody following a shooting in Blount County.
Blount County Sheriff’s deputies went to a home on Tomotley Road yesterday (Sunday) afternoon where a man was shot by another man.
The victim was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was taken into custody shortly after the shooting but their identity has not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing and charges are pending.
