Sevier County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – A tragic accident on a popular trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
A 65-year-old woman died after falling approximately 60 feet from a cliff on Alum Cave Trail on Sunday.
Rangers were called to the scene but weren’t able to revive the woman.
Alum Cave Trail is one of the most visited trails in Smokies, it provides direct access to Mount LeConte, which millions of people look to visit every year.
