Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – An investigation is underway following an early morning (Tues) house fire in East Knoxville.
Knoxville Fire Department crews say smoke was coming from the front of the home in the 200 block of Fern Street. They found a small fire in the kitchen near the stove and contained the fire to the kitchen area.
The home has suffered minor, fire, water and smoke damage.
Seven people, four adults and three children lived in the home and fortunately no injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
