The New York Jets agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with right guard Joe Tippmann, multiple outlets reported Monday.
The deal with the versatile Tippmann, 25, is worth $62 million with $31 million in new money guarantees, according to The Athletic.
The 2023 second-round pick was entering the final season of his rookie contract, with a base salary of $3.9 million for the 2026 campaign.
The 6-foot-6, 313-pound Tippmann started all 17 games at guard last season after moving over from the center spot. He has appeared in 50 games with 48 starts.
Under general manager Darren Mougey, Tippmann joins a list of players who have signed new deals before the end of their rookie contracts that includes wide receiver Garrett Wilson, running back Breece Hall and tight end Jeremy Ruckert.
