UPDATE:
A Tennessee Silver Alert has been issued for 77-year-old Jerry Brown by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office has ended.
Officials say the was found safe today after last being seen yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Knox County, TN (WOKI )-
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued a Tennessee Silver Alert on behalf of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for a missing 77-year-old Knox County man.
Authorities are searching for Jerry Brown, who was last seen Wednesday afternoon. According to investigators, Brown was wearing an orange and gray plaid shirt, blue jeans, and a black hat when he was last seen.
Officials say Brown was also carrying a black trash bag and a brown Wrangler duffel bag.
The TBI reports that Brown has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance, prompting the issuance of the Silver Alert.
Anyone who sees Brown or has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 865-215-2243 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463) immediately.
Authorities continue to ask the public to remain alert and report any possible sightings.
