BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced the 2027 league softball schedule on Wednesday, with Tennessee set to face eight league opponents during the regular season.
During conference play, UT will face six teams that competed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament, including five programs that advanced to the Super Regionals and two that reached the Women’s College World Series.
Coming off its 10th WCWS appearance, Tennessee will open SEC play on the road, traveling to Bryan-College Station for a three-game series against Texas A&M March 12-14.
Tennessee will make its SEC home debut the following weekend, welcoming two-time defending national champion Texas to Sherri Parker Lee Stadium for a March 19-21 series. The Big Orange will then hit the road for a matchup at LSU March 26-28.
The Lady Vols return to Knoxville April 2-4 to host Oklahoma before traveling to Auburn for a three-game set April 9-11.
After a weekend off from conference play, the Lady Vols host Georgia April 23-25 before traveling to Arkansas April 30-May 2. Tennessee closes out the regular season at home with Missouri May 6-9.
The 2027 SEC Softball Tournament will take place May 11-15 at Toyota Field in Madison, Alabama.
The Lady Vols made their 23rd NCAA Tournament appearance in 2026, hosting an NCAA Regional for the 21st consecutive season. Tennessee advanced to the Super Regionals for the fourth straight year and the 15th time in program history before returning to the Women’s College World Series for the third time in the past four seasons.
The Lady Vols return nine starters from last year’s squad, including All-American pitcher Sage Mardjetko and fellow standout Erin Nuwer. The duo combined for 31 wins and eight shutouts in 2026, with Mardjetko posting a 16-3 record, 171 strikeouts and a 1.26 ERA en route to NFCA First Team All-America honors. Nuwer went 15-1 with 90 strikeouts and a 1.01 ERA.
Tennessee also returns Sophia Knight, who led all players with a .394 batting average last season. Three of the Lady Vols’ top four home run hitters from 2026 are back in Emma Clarke (14), Alannah Leach (13) and Gabby Leach (10).
