KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Tennessee senior linebacker Arion Carter is facing a multi-game suspension from the NCAA, a punishment related to a flight he took while in talks with the NFL, and the University of Tennessee is pushing back on it.
Carter declared for the 2026 NFL Draft in December. During that time, he signed with an agent and accepted a $427 flight to start the pre-draft process.
He didn’t stick with his plans to join the NFL, though. According to a statement from UT, he withdrew his name after a medical procedure and decided to stay with UT.
