Knox County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – Residents and businesses along Ebenezer Road and the surrounding area are dealing with a water outage after a water main break was reported by First Utility District.
According to First Utility District, crews have been dispatched and are actively working to repair the damaged water line and restore service to affected customers.
The utility district posted a notice on its website alerting customers to the outage and advising them to remain patient while repair work continues.
“Crews are working to restore service as soon as possible,” the notice stated.
A spokesperson for First Utility District said repair crews are making progress and that water service is expected to return within the next few hours.
The exact cause of the water main break has not been released.
Customers in the affected area may experience little to no water pressure until repairs are completed. Officials have not announced whether a boil water advisory will be necessary following restoration of service.
First Utility District is encouraging residents to monitor its website and communications channels for updates as repair efforts continue.
