The Southeastern Conference released its 2026-27 women’s basketball schedule on Tuesday and Tennessee’s 16-game league slate features eight contests against teams appearing in the USA TODAY “Way-Too-Early” Top 25.
Third-year Lady Vol head coach Kim Caldwell‘s squad, ranked No. 25 in that preseason poll, will welcome SEC foes No. 1 South Carolina, No. 7 LSU, No. 14 Ole Miss, No. 18 Kentucky and No. 23 Oklahoma to Food City Center. They’ll also make league road trips to No. 6 Vanderbilt, No. 13 Texas and No. 18 UK.
Tip times and broadcast details will be announced later, but tickets for the 2026-27 home schedule are on sale now and can be purchased here.
Conference play will begin on Thursday, Dec. 31, and run through Sunday, Feb. 28. The schedule consists of a single round robin of home or away (14 games) with one annually-rotating opponent that will be played at home and away (two games). This year’s rotating opponent for UT is Kentucky.
Each team will play eight home games and eight away games. This marks the 18th season of the 16-game schedule for SEC women’s basketball. New this year, the schedule has a common bye date on Feb. 18 that will be used for rescheduling games interrupted by weather.
Caldwell’s troops will open SEC action on the road on New Year’s Eve at Texas A&M and then play their league home opener on Jan. 3 vs. No. 14 Ole Miss. Following a Jan. 7 trip to No. 13 Texas, Tennessee returns home to play host to No. 23 Oklahoma and Georgia on Jan. 10 and 14, travels to Florida and No. 18 Kentucky on Jan. 18 and 21, and concludes the month with back-to-back tilts on The Summitt vs. Alabama on Jan. 24 and No. 1 South Carolina on Jan. 28.
February opens with road trips to Mississippi State and No. 6 Vandy on Feb. 4 and 7, followed by a home tilt vs. Auburn on Feb. 11. After traveling to Missouri for a Feb. 14 clash, the Lady Vols will welcome No. 18 UK and No. 7 LSU on Feb. 21 and 25, and close out the conference itinerary with a Feb. 28 visit to Arkansas.
The 2027 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament will be held for the 10th time at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. The tournament, which will include all 16 teams, begins on Wednesday, March 3, and concludes with the championship game on Sunday, March 7.
