The Knoxville Fire Department is investigating an East Knoxville fire.

Crews responding to Vera Drive after a resident called yesterday (Monday) afternoon saying they tried to put out a fire in their home.

When they arrived three adults and a teen were outside and no injuries were reported.

The home has sustained heavy fire, smoke and water damage.

The American Red Cross is assisting the occupants.
