Friday evening at approximately 5:19 PM the Knox County Emergency Communications District received a phone call for smoke coming from the roof of 129 S. Central Street.  They caller advised the fire appeared to be all on the roof area of the building.

On arrival of the first Knoxville Fire Department engine company smoke was reported coming from this location. Fire companies gained access to the roof and discovered a small fire and avoid space between the ceiling of the business and the roof. By 5:35 PM the fire was deemed under control.  Due to the location and nature of the fire,  extensive overhaul was required.

The building has suffered, moderate fire, smoke, and water damage. 

The business located next to the fire – Kaizen has suffered moderate smoke damage. 

No injuries have been reported. 

Knoxville Fire Department investigators are on the scene working to determine a cause.
