The Kingston Police Department says two juvenile boys are facing charges after showing an employee an airsoft gun while in the drive-thru at McDonald’s.
It happened at the North Kentucky Street location on Saturday, police received a call about a robbery in the drive-thru.
Police were told a man driving a car had a mask on when he showed a gun to an employee in the drive-thru lane then drove away.
Officers pulled over the car and found the driver, a 16-year-old boy, was still wearing the mask around his neck. Officers found a Glock airsoft gun and open alcoholic drinks.
After an investigation, the driver and a 14-year-old passenger were arrested for aggravated assault and underage consumption and were then taken to the Roane County Juvenile Detention Center.
