Semien sat out of Friday’s 4-3 win after he was replaced in the third inning of Thursday’s loss at Kansas City, two innings after fouling a pitch off his left foot. This marks just the second IL stint of his 13-year major-league career.
Semien is the Rangers’ leader in at-bats (470) and hits (108) this season. He has a .230 batting average with 15 homers, 16 doubles and 11 stolen bases.
Garcia missed exactly 10 days of action during his 10-day IL stint due to a sprained left ankle. He’s hitting .224 entering Saturday’s game with 16 home runs and a team-high 64 RBIs.
